National Cleanliness Day celebrated at Yelagiri Hills, India 

On 30.01.24 Don Bosco college(Co-Ed), Yelagiri Hills, Clean Hills club actively participated in the observance of National Cleanliness Day, a significant initiative aimed at promoting personal hygiene, cleanliness, and environmental awareness. The event, held during the morning break at 11:40 a.m., in the presence of esteemed guests, including Rev Father Amal SDB, Rev Father Charles SDB and Vice Principal Dr. Rajendran.

Event Commencement:

The event commenced with the official kick-off precisely at 11:40 a.m., coinciding with the morning break. Father Amal, Father Charles, and Vice Principal Dr. Rajendran were cordially invited to partake in the day's activities. In the afternoon the club students went to Natural Park, Athnavoor to make an awareness on the waste management and cleaned the boat house and Natural park premises.

Activities:

Display of Charts:

Informative charts related to cleanliness and hygiene were prominently displayed on the college court. These visuals aimed to communicate essential messages about the significance of maintaining cleanliness in personal and communal spaces.

Student Speech: 

Master. Kudiyarasu delivered a speech addressing the importance of International Cleanliness Day, emphasizing the role each individual plays in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Motivational Talks:

Fathers Amal and Charles, along with Vice Principal Dr. Rajendran, delivered motivational talks to inspire students. They highlighted the impact of personal hygiene on overall well-being and stressed the responsibility each student bears in keeping their surroundings clean.

Clean Hills Club Rally:

The Clean Hills Club organized a spirited rally from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The route extended from our college gate to the Natural Park. The rally featured Clean Hills Club members shouting slogans and carrying charts to raise awareness about personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness.

Awareness for Public Hygiene:

Special Force Police provided assistance and protection during the rally to ensure the safety of participants. This collaboration aimed to garner public attention and instill a sense of responsibility for personal and communal cleanliness. 

Waste Cleanup:

On the return journey, the Clean Hills Club members actively engaged in cleaning up waste along the road. This hands-on effort aimed to demonstrate the importance of taking practical steps to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

 Conclusion:

The observance of National Cleanliness Day was a resounding success, thanks to the active participation of students, faculty, and esteemed guests. The combination of informative displays, motivational talks, and a dynamic rally contributed to raising awareness about the critical role each individual plays in fostering cleanliness. The collaboration with the Special Force Police further emphasized the importance of community involvement in promoting a hygienic and healthy society.
