Make It Green Workshop
Salesianos Loyola de Aranjuez, Aranjuez, Madrid, Spain
By Patricia Sánchez Menchero
The 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades of primary school, from Salesianos Loyola Aranjuez, have held a workshop with "Make it green", on the importance of caring for our planet and the proper use of materials, giving them a second life and contributing to the end of Less waste in the sea. Each student has brought a used plastic bottle from home, we have divided it with the help of the monitor into three parts, using two of them to create a pot, where we have planted carrots, cherry tomatoes, padrón peppers, melons, cat grass or aubergines. . They have explained to us how to take care of it and what we should do with our pot when we need to transplant our plant. We have also been asked that with the remaining part of the bottle we think of a new workshop in class to give it a new life (a jar of pencils for example). The activity has been very inspiring and enriching for both teachers and students.
