D.R. Congo – Salesian Oratories Day, Kinshasa

On Sunday, 2 July, Kinshasa, DRC celebrated Oratories Day, an experience of fraternity and joy for all the children and young people of Salesian Youth Centres' oratories. Through moments of fraternity, communion, formation and friendship, young people learned to set the pace together for integral human growth. The activities were led by Fr Aurélien Mukangwa, Superior of the Salesian Africa Congo Vice-Province (ACC), with the collaboration of the youth leaders. This year's theme recalled the safeguarding of creation; thus, in a Salesian spirit, the young people gathered in small groups, and accompanied by SDBs, FMA and members of the Salesian Family they reaffirmed their commitment to care for our common home. In addition to this there was catechesis, the Eucharist and celebrations with various games, songs, dances and plays. The participants also planted several trees.
