Solar Advanced Professional students graduate from Don Bosco Training Institute, Ghana

The Don Bosco Energy Renewable centre department at the Don Bosco Training Institute Ashaiman-Tema, Ghana announced the successful completion of the fourth-round Advanced professional solar trainees amidst a colour ceremony at the Institute's auditorium.

Twenty-four graduates including 4 females and 20 males from Ghana, Sierra Leone, Togo, Guinea and Burundi have successfully completed a six-month Solar Advanced Professionals course being the fourth batch at the Don Bosco Training Institute, Tema under its Solar Department.

A collaborative effort between the delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK), Don Bosco Training Institute, Jakob-Christian Adam Foundation, and the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI),

The aim of the initiative is to skill the youth in photovoltaic solar technology to earn a livelihood, and assist meet the growing energy requirements of the country.

After completion of the course, trainees receive internationally recognised certificates from both Don Bosco and AHK. They are certified to carry out solar PV installations up to 300KWp; design and commissioning of solar installations, inspect, test and troubleshoot faulty PV installations, etc.
