The Salesian Agricultural School of Catemu, Chile signs Gray Water Management Project
The Salesian Agricultural School in Catemu, Chile is pleased to announce the official signing of an agreement with the "Un Alto en el Desierto" Foundation, with the aim of carrying out an innovative gray water management project. This project represents a significant step in our commitment to caring for the environment and promoting sustainable practices within our school community.
The signing ceremony was attended by Father José Toledo, legal representative of the Salesian Congregation, and Miss Elizabeth Vivanco, from the Project Office of the Salesian Province. In addition, members of the Business Advisory Council, representatives of the "La Semilla" Foundation, the "Un Alto en el Desierto" Foundation, as well as various members of the school community were present.
After the agreement was formalized, attendees had the opportunity to take a tour of the school facilities, especially the spaces where the implementation of the project will take place. This tour allowed everyone present to see first-hand how this initiative will materialize, which seeks not only to improve water management in our institution, but also to raise awareness about the importance of the treatment and reuse of gray water.
This project represents a joint effort to promote more responsible and sustainable practices, aligned with the Salesian values of care and respect for creation. We thank the "Un Alto en el Desierto" Foundation for its collaboration and commitment to this cause, and we look forward to the environmental and educational benefits that this initiative will bring to our community.
