Clean up the Beach by Sierra Leone Climate Club

The Salesians of Don Bosco in the Sierra Leone Province, along with the Climate Club in Lungi. More than a 100 people were gathered for the communal activity of cleaning up the beach, which was carried out with a smile and gusto. Among the crowd were school students and residents who live nearby the beach. The objective of this task was to raise awareness on the issue of garbage dumping and the harm that it causes to the beautiful shores of their beaches. Following the guidance of Fr Philip Gbao, the crowd with smiles on their faces and hope in their hearts, took their rakes, brooms and recycling bags and have contributed significantly to the elimination of waste from their pristine shores of the beautiful Lungi Beach.
