100% renewable electricity in the German Province of SDB

The German Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco adopted sustainability guidelines in 2022.

Currently, all locations in Germany are being examined to determine which areas are suitable for the installation of photovoltaic systems. It is being investigated in what form and to what extent self-sufficiency in electrical energy can be implemented in order to achieve the highest possible degree of self-sufficiency.

All facilities of the German Province are even now supplied with 100% renewable electricity from a run-of-river power plant on the Danube.
