World Environment Day celebration at Don Bosco College, Tamil Nadu, India

Don Bosco Cares for our Common Home (DBCCH) organized World Environment Day on 5th June, 2023 at Don Bosco College, Yelagiri Hills, Tamil Nadu. The theme of the World Environment Day is Solution to Plastic Pollution. To make an awareness of Mother Earth we had an awareness program in front of the Natural Park which included a speech on the topic Solution to Plastic Pollution, Oath taking ceremony to protect the Earth and chief guest speech and awareness rally from Boathouse to Don Bosco College. Tree plantation (10 saplings) done beside the roads. 

The Yelagiri Panchayat President spoke about the usage of plastics that need to be eradicated in the Yelagiri Hills. In order to do it we all have to work together for this noble cause. Then, all those who participated in the event, had taken the oath to protect Mother Earth.

Fr. Amalavanan, Campus Minister had welcomed the gathering and presided over the program. Mrs. Rajasri Giri velan, Panchayat President and Sub Inspector of Police had participated as a guest of honor for the program. Master Dharmaraj spoke about the world Environment Day on the theme of Solution to Plastic Pollution. Master Robert made a gathering to make an oath for the world Environment day. In view of World Environment Day 10 saplings were planted and students and neighbors are to take care of it.
