On July 31, Coach Cezar Ribeiro, a soccer and footvolley instructor at the São João Batista Youth Center in Poxoréu, Brazil led a special session of reflection on caring for the environment, our common home.
As he welcomed the students, Coach Ribeiro presented, in a dynamic and interactive way, the importance of adopting sustainable practices in daily life. Using posters, photographs, and practical examples, he highlighted simple actions that make a difference, such as recycling, proper waste disposal, tree preservation, and the conscious use of water.
One of the most memorable moments was recalling the activity held last year, when each class participated in planting a tree on the grounds of the Youth Center. The teacher showed that the saplings continue to grow and contribute to a more wooded, pleasant, and healthy environment, emphasizing that small actions today yield great benefits for the future.
The activity provided students with an important opportunity for raising awareness, encouraging a commitment to environmental preservation, and reinforcing values of responsibility, citizenship, and respect for nature.
